The Vision

"I didn't expect the level of athleticism to be so high at schools this small." That is what my girlfriend told me after I took her to her first ever 1A basketball game at my alma matre. For those of us that have played or watched small school sports, we know that the work done by high school athletes is every bit as incredible and praiseworthy as the big schools. However, I find that there is a lack of reporting on the amazing things happening in small school sports. Some of the top basketball scorers in the state come from small schools, there are programs that produce college-level talent routinely, late game heroics, and stories of communities coming together through sports. My mission is to highlight these feats for more people to see. I want family members to be able to read about their athletes. I want to highlight stories from across the state, not just from where the lights are brightest.

If you agree with this, then this is the place for you.

My name is Lincoln Miller. I graduated from North Clackamas Christian School (1A) in 2018. At NCCS I competed in Basketball, Soccer, Track, Cross Country, and Choir. My father graduated from Knappa-Svensen Union High School and that is where 8 of my siblings attend school. I currently attend the University of Portland.

Post high school, I have acted as a scout for a couple of teams where I kept stats and reported on the games. This brief stint in the 2019-2020 season opened my eyes to the world of sports journalism and eventually led to what you see on this site.

Who am I?
